A typical trip leaves at 7 a.m. and starts heading back to the
dock about 2 p.m. The run to the fishing grounds can be up to an
hour. Sometimes it is best to
leave earlier in the morning, other times you have to wait on
tides. We provide all the
fishing gear, including rods, tackle, and bait. We will clean
your fish for you.
Weather
on the Olympic Peninsula is unpredictable. It is best to be
prepared for anything and everything. It can get quite hot
out on the water, so make sure you are prepared with comfortable
clothes, sunglasses, and a hat. Likewise, you will need to be
prepared with raingear and warm clothes for those rainy days the
Northwest is so famous for. We also recommend bringing any food
and beverages you may want for the trip. Trips will likely last
most of the day, and you will no doubt get hungry. A camera to
take pictures of the big catch is also a good idea.
To
fish in Washington you will need to have valid Washington State
saltwater fishing license. If you plan on crabbing, you must
also purchase a shellfish license. These are available over the
Internet at http://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/,
over the phone at (866) 246-9453, or from nearly any outdoor or
sporting dealer outlet in Washington. Annual and short-term
licenses are available. |
